Open Question: Facebook is repeatedly asking me to log in?

Okay, this is really starting to get on my nerves now. Earlier this morning, I was able to use Facebook perfectly fine via the iPad app I have – no problems whatsoever. Then later, I went to use Facebook on my laptop and was for some reason logged out (even though I’ve had the ‘keep me logged in’ option selected for months). I didn’t think it was a big deal and logged back in, but ever since I’ve had this ‘Not Logged In’ message popping up before I can actually do anything with Facebook.

I’ve been able to change my password and I’ve also been able to remove some apps that I had allowed access through my iPad with, but if I try to write a status or upload a photo or comment or anything like that, the message appears again.

This has happened multiple times today. Is anybody else having the same problem? Most of the other solutions I’ve found (dating a year or so ago) have suggested I’ve been hacked, which makes no sense since I’ve never logged out of Facebook for months, and never logged into Facebook on another computer since last year some time. I remember because I only ever log in on University computers, and I only started University again on Tuesday and haven’t logged in there yet. I also log out every time, and out of my computer account. Surely if I’d been hacked, the symptoms would have shown up earlier.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I’m using the Timeline update for Facebook, but have been for weeks now. I can’t think of anything else that you might need to know…
I’ve emptied my cache, and it’s still doing the same thing. I should probably also mention that the app I use on my iPad tells me my account is temporarily unavailable, and the only thing I can do is to log in on facebook.com from my computer and follow the instructions. Instructions which I don’t receive, because I’m continually being asked to log in before anything happens.
I also can’t ask Facebook for help, because when I tried that, it wouldn’t let me submit anything about the experience I’m having on the grounds that I’m not allowed. I haven’t actually done anything wrong on Facebook… all I do is talk to my friends through personal messages and update my status occasionally. I don’t know why this is happening and it’s incredibly frustrating.
