Open Question: Personal Websites & Social Networking: Where can I find/What are some sites that are HTML enabled?

Before Facebook there was MySpace, and before MySpace, there was sites like MiGente, BlackPlanet, and AsianAvenue. The latter three were HTML enabled. If you want to create a more attractive and customized page, you had to use HTML. Although, Facebook is great for keeping in-touch, it is not customizable like some of these older sites. I use to use MiGente and one of my favorite things about it was being able to choose my background and create layouts and themes for my page. I am looking for a site with similar capabilities.
